We have selected the dates and secured a location and now plans for our upcoming 80th Annual Convention in 2007 are well underway.  This time we're traveling to the beautiful Island of Maui.

Now ... all we need is YOU! 

April 2007 is not that far off.  So start gearing up for convention now!  Begin by establishing a budget line item for this annual event.  We encourage you to send as many board members from your local unit as possible.  Convention is an opportunity to:

• gain valuable leadership training and development 
• visit with our exhibitors to hear about new and successful educational and fundraising programs
• network with other local unit officers and board members
• revisit your reasons for having gotten involved with PTA in the first place

Our Maui convention committee has been hard at work for several months now planning and coordinating this event to ensure it yields the greatest benefit to our delegates.  But you'll have to find out for yourself and the only way to do that is by attending.

And representing National PTA ...

It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to Paula Pawlowski, this year's National PTA representative to our 80th Annual Convention.  Paula Pawlowski joined the National PTA training team in 2004. She has presented legislative and parent involvement workshops, including the Building Successful Partnerships program, at the state and National PTA levels. Paula is an active volunteer in YMCA, the National Military Family Association, and local student exchange programs. Currently, she is a training coordinator for a computer training business that specializes in interviewing skills and coaching for re-employment.  Please join us in welcoming Paula to Hawaii.
